Nutritionist Leyla Muedin answers this listener question: I'm 77 years old and take melatonin at bedtime to fall asleep but wake up every two hours after that. I take 5-HTP during those times and closer to morning, L-theanine, so I can sleep until 7:30am. I read in medical journals that interrupted sleep can lead to dementia. What is your opinion about what I take for sleep?
