Preventing Congestive Heart Failure, Part 1
June 14, 2022
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is one of the most common diagnoses for those over 65. CHF is a progressive condition where the heart muscle is less able to contract and its pumping action can't keep up with the body's demands; the heart can't bring enough oxygen and nutrients to the cells of the body. Naturopathic Practitioner Jane Jansen of the Tree of Life Wellness Center in Massachusetts offers a unique perspective as a medical professional who, prior to becoming a naturopathic practitioner, spent years in cardiovascular labs at hospitals. She was Chief of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island doing testing and research, and also taught and trained students for the Cardiology Lab in Newport Hospital in Newport, Rhode Island. She illustrates her experiences, past and current, and has preventive steps for this all too common cardiovascular event - including beneficial natural supplements such as aged garlic extract.
